Editorial Policy
Our editorial standard is simple: earn trust with evidence. We separate revenue decisions from testing and recommendations and publish what we find—whether a product shines or rattles.
Independence and Integrity
- No pay-for-play: we do not sell positive coverage or guarantee inclusion. Brands do not preview, edit, or veto our reviews.
- Affiliate neutrality: affiliate relationships never change our test protocols, scoring, or conclusions. If a better non-affiliate product wins, it wins.
- Sourcing: we purchase products when possible. When samples are provided, we disclose it clearly and apply the same tests.
Review Process
- Selection: we prioritize products that matter for small-space and quiet training—unique mechanisms, popular sets, and meaningful upgrades.
- Methodology: every review links to How We Test and includes timing, decibel, vibration, footprint, and ergonomics findings with photos or diagrams where helpful.
- Comparability: we use consistent environments and repeat trials so rankings are fair across brands and price points.
Corrections and Updates
- If we make a mistake, we fix it promptly and note the change.
- We revisit picks when products change, prices move meaningfully, or long-term use reveals new issues.
Conflicts of Interest
- Team members do not hold financial interests in companies we cover.
- Sponsored placements, if any, are labeled and kept separate from editorial content.
User Value First
- Clarity over jargon. We explain trade-offs, show raw numbers when useful, and provide quiet-use tips that work in real homes.
- Safety and family-friendliness are non-negotiable: we flag pinch points, unstable cradles, and risky practices.
